One of the many FASDay commemorations which FASfacts attended to commemorate international FAS day in the Western Cape, was at Hexpark Primary School in Worcester.
During the bell ringing ceremony the bell was rung by Mr Ontong, principal of Hexpark Primary School.
Across the world, bells ring out nine times symbolising the nine months of pregnancy, aiming to highlight the difficulties faced by children born with FAS, their parents, families and the broader communities. The main message conveyed is that woman should not drink any alcohol when pregnant.
